Story:
Ambuli Movie Review: Malayalam producer Kuttichathan produced this movie. Indian cinema was one of the pioneers in 3D cinema.  Nowadays, we have a 3D movie releasing almost every month. Somehow, 3D is becoming a technology that is being used just for the sake of it, as a default measure for a big budget flick. The intentions are very clear; to make a thriller that borders on horror. Ajay (Amudhan) and Srijith (Vendhan) are college students.

Ajay falls in love with Poongavanam (Sanam). He prefers to stay in college hostel even during vacation.Poongavanam stays in a village where people in fear of a ghost called Ambuli. There is a belief that whoever crosses a corn field in the village is killed by Ambuli. One day, Ajay goes through the farm to reach her beloved’s house. He comes across the super natural element. Coming to know the incident, Vendhan gets anxious and decides to find out what Ambuli all about. During their search, Vendhan and Ajay come across Sengodan (Parthiban). He stays alone in the forest. What is the secret behind Ambuli and Sengodan? How the friends unravel the mystery forms the climax. For this you must watch the film.

Analysis:
Ambuli is not a movie that has incorporated in 3D technology it is trending in the international market. The makers have a clear vision about the nature of the film and the way in which 3D can enhance the experience.Ambuli keeps you guessing about whether it is a myth or reality. Set in the 1970s with a couple of flashbacks into the 60s and the 50s, Ambuli tracks the truth behind a phenomenon that has an entire village for more than 20 years. It contains several scenes that will have you on the edge of your seats; some that will intrigue and interest you; and a few portions that will really have you thinking about the various directions in which the story could move.

Performances:
Ambuli: The new actors have acquitted themselves really well. The young man playing the college watchman’s son scores the most amongst the group.Thambi Ramaiah, the British scientist and the lady playing Jagan’s grandmother all add strength to the movie.

Technicalities:
Hari Shankar & Harish Narayanan’s Direction and 3D graphics are plus. Good technical values are major plus for the film. The background music sounds good, but cannot be termed special. Dialogues make an impression at places; like the voice over in the flashback.

Final Word:
Go and Watch 3D, thrills and suspense experience.Dont Miss it.
